Just in time for Miami’s peak outdoor weather, Life House Hotel’s Little Havana location has debuted the neighborhood’s only rooftop bar and eatery, Terras (528 SW 9th Avenue).
The tropical inspired bar and restaurant boasts enviable Miami views, and features a menu with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, with the kitchen open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
The menu was developed by executive chef Harry Capacetti, who also oversees the kitchen at Mama Joon at Life House Hotel’s Collins Park outpost, and it serves shareable dishes with Latin American street food influences. Think items like an over-easy egg sandwich and avocado toast for breakfast, while lunch and dinner options include plenty of vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes like squash salad, black bean and queso dip, green plantain fritters, along with more carnivore friendly plates like chicken tacos topped with mole and make-your-own barbacoa tacos.
Of course there are also plenty of drinks on the menu, most of which utilize the ingredients from the rooftop’s on-site garden. Keeping with the tropical theme are cocktail options like the Mezcalyfan made with mezcal, rum, and pineapple; and the Furiosa created with tequila, Aperol, falernum, lime, and hellfire bitters. It also offers a wine program with vintages produced in Spain and Latin America along with a rotating list of local beers.
The space 3,160-square-foot space was designed by Life House’s in-house design team lead by Jenny Bukovec, and is decked out with tropical foliage, vintage twinkle lights, and plenty of seating. The space plans to offer a music program and semi-regular events, for more information call 866-466-7534.
